A filmic response to a piece of text written by author Najat El Hachmi. The film was created for the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona as part of their project "A Vocabulary for the Future" which has seen a collection of commissioned audiovisual essays that reflect on ways of thinking about the world of tomorrow.

Julia Parks grew up and spent most of her life in west Cumbria. Parks is an artist filmmaker exploring the different relationships between landscapes, plants, people and industry. She works with experimental documentary forms often using 16mm film, archival footage, poetry and song.

"A Territory where the ancients lived, a place with the decompressed and segmented landscape that formed a place that only exists on the other side of the light."

Artist and filmmaker Jose Luis Supelveda presents an encounter with symbols and soundscapes, drawing on the Patagonian landscape in the south of Chile, using 16mm film projection, alongside real time sound sound interventions.
