Theremin, robotic bells, clavisimbalum, pipe organ, recorders, voice and extraordinary electronic effects are used by Sarah Angliss to conjure half-forgotten folk tales and the music of the birds. Centre stage is her ‘Ealing Feeder’  - a magical, automatic bell playing machine that performs at lightning speed. Sarah’s highly unusual music draws on her lifelong interest in European folksong, cybernetics and ancient sound culture. In demand as a live performer, Sarah has played at the Royal Festival Hall, Union Chapel, Arnolfini, LSO St Luke’s, Star and Shadow, BBC Halls Swansea and Supersonic UK; Prima Vista, Estonia; National Sawdust, Brooklyn, and many other festivals and venues. She also writes for film and theatre.

Her theatre work includes music and sound design for the first official stage production of The Twilight Zone, at Almeida, London, and a terse, industrial score for Eugene O’Neill’s The Hairy Ape - at The Old Vic, London, and Park Avenue Armory, New York. In 2021, Sarah received an Ivor Novello Award (the ‘Visionary Award’) for her body of work.
