Still Waters (22 mins) is a reflection on the transmission of history and memory in Askam In Furness. Animation, video, sound, music and still photography from James Alexander, Alex Blackmore, John Hall and Lindsay Ward, and the voice of Kevin Alexander.
The Artspace project places locally based professional artists in community contexts to explore locality, lore and the mediators of communal memory.
Horngarth (20 mins) - John Hall's video piece about the ancient and mysterious Whitby Penny Hedge Service, featuring the voice of Lol Hodgson, Court Leet Bailf of Fyling.
John Hall's recent solo and collaborative projects use video, broadcasts, performances, records and text to examine vernacular creativity, ritual and ceremony in Cumbria and across the north.
Film screenings start at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm
