A special double-bill of lights from the sonic ether - Teresa Winter and Powders.

Leeds-based Teresa Winter has been making music since 2014.

She studied music at the University of York, writing a PhD thesis on the experimental electronic music for radio and television composed by Delia Derbyshire at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Teresa LP debut Untitled Death has been described as "a hallucinogenic wormhole of sensuously ambiguous pop and electronic experiments primed for the after-after party and altered states of reception. Realised through a mesh of strategies from live, lo-fi tape recordings…

Teresa will be joined on stage by Tom James Scott.

A shared admiration for early Playstation game scores underpins the work of Preston-based duo Powders.

Joshua Horsley and Carl Brown deliver the debut Powders album ‘Concede To Circumstance’ via Them There.

Initially starting as an experimental live project of Cello (Horsley) and Electronics (Brown) the duo gained attention for their semi-improvised onstage performances. What began as sample-heavy collage music in 2018 slowly shifted as the pair crafted new live sets to embrace classical and noise music, always treated with an experimental spirit and minimalist sleight.

Debut album ‘Concede to Circumstance’ is a refining of these ideas, a distillation of sounds and feelings, boiled down to a highly concentrated tincture made from extracts of live shows, film scores, jams and sketches.

Doors open 19:00 for 19:30 prompt start

If you arrive after 1930 you may have to wait for the interval before being admitted to the performance space.
